If you can form a group of students, we encourage you to apply using the group application. If you apply as a group, there is a higher chance that all members of the group will be accepted to the conference. Also, there is a higher chance that we will be able to offer you an in-person training session at your school with the IASIMUN Advisor.
If your school sends a group application with 8 participants, we will assign 2 countries to your school (based on your choice of countries). Each of those countries will be represented in each of the 4 committees (political, human rights, ecosoc, and environment). Thus, there would be 2 students from your school in each committee, representing 2 different countries.
It does not matter if the number of applicants is not a multiple of 4. If there are 7 applicants, we will still assign 2 countries and one of those country will not be represented in one of the committees.
How to Apply as a Delegate
1) Download “Form-I” below (either the individual or group/school application)
2) Submit a completed “Form-I” by Oct 9, 2009 (Updated)
3) You will receive a response by Oct 11, 2009 (Updated)
4) After you hear back from IASIMUN with a country assignment, download “Form-II” below (only for group/school applicants)
5) Submit a completed “Form-II” (for group/school applicants)
6) For all accepted applications, send the conference fee by bank transfer by Oct 30, 2009 (all participants, including accompanying MUN directors must pay this fee to cover the costs of conference materials and meals; group payments are acceptable)
Press Corps Application
If you are interested in taking part in IASIMUN as a member of the Press Corps, please download and submit the Press Corps Application by Oct 4, 2009. The Press Corps will report conference news, conduct interviews, and publish a conference newspaper each day of the conference. There are a very limited number of positions in the Press Corps. Conference fees are identical to those of delegates. You may submit applications to the Press Corps and as a delegate. However, you may only accept one offer.
Chairperson Application
If you are interested in being a chairperson at the IASIMUN conference, please download and submit the Chair Application. Since there are very few Chair positions available, you should also submit a delegate or Press Corps application. It is strongly recommended that you apply as a delegate rather than a ChairpersonĀ if you do not have substantial experience in MUN. If you are accepted for more than one position, you will have to choose which one you will take.
Application Fee
CUSTOM PRICE: 50 RON
(Includes all conference materials, 2 lunches, tea breaks and drinks)
FULL PRICE: 90 RON
